We are delighted to say that The George will reopen on Saturday 4th July! Initially we will be open only for food and drinks, bringing the rooms out of 'retirement' on Saturday 11th July.
We have created ‘The George Inn Side Out' an outside alfresco area with 8 tables available for booking for lunch and evening meals from 4th July. We strongly recommend that anyone wishing to eat at The George books in advance to avoid disappointment, as we continue to follow Government guidelines, maintaining a safe environment and limiting numbers of guests where necessary. We will be operating primarily a table service policy for diners at these tables.
We also have an additional limited number of tables outside for those wishing to drink which will be available on a first come first served basis. We would ask that each party nominates one person from their party to place orders as we will have to restrict the number of folks inside the bar area at any given time.
We have installed hand sanitiser dispensers outside the Tups and Yewes, and on the newly created gate to the outside area, as well as on the way into the bar area and would ask that everyone makes use of these, taking responsibility for their own safety whilst at The George. We are also required to collect and retain contact details for all visitors for a period of 21 days.
For the safety of all and to ensure we 'do our bit' to return to a safe and enjoyable experience at The George we trust you will understand the need for these additional requirements.
And finally...………………...WELCOME BACK !!!!!

In the light of the current situation and the restrictions imposed by Government on the hospitality industry we are duty bound to limit the number of folks at The George at any one time. As a result we cannot admit large groups and for the time being will not be able to accommodate any mini bus parties . As the situation changes we will update the website. Thank you for your understanding.
